Registry Fix Reviews – Does This Software Work?
Your computer is slow to start up or shut down, you experience random restarts or freezes, accessing anything stored on your computer has become unbearably slow or painful. If any of these symptoms sound familiar, it’s probably far past time for you to start looking at a Registry Fix review. A Registry Fix reviews can help you figure if this piece of cleaning software can help you put your computer back on the right track in terms of functioning, and you’ll also find that there is plenty of reason to to take a review of this sort seriously. Depending on what your problem is and where the issue actually exists, you may find that Registry Fix is part and parcel to getting your computer back up to code.
Registry Fix is one of the lesser known registry cleaners, but it still continues to turn up in searches and advertisements. We got ourselves a copy of Registry Fix so we could test it out.
How It Works:
Think of your registry as your computer’s to do list and information book all combined. Whenever your computer needs to execute an action, it will consult your registry for cues and information on what it needs to do and when. When things are going smoothly, the list is very accessible and your computer knows what to do right away. For a variety of reasons, however, your registry might become quite confusing for your computer to try to access. Some parts may be blocked off or inaccessible, while you might also find that due to the registry becoming overfull, it takes forever to get the task executed. This is where programs like Registry Fix come in; their main purpose to find out what is going on in your registry and correct it.
Basic Components:
The three basic options are to scan your computer and fix errors, manage backups, and tinker with the Advanced options. The advanced options include:
- Browser Helper Manager (helps disable browser plugins like toolbars)
- Startup Program Manager (allows you to disable startup programs)
- Add Remove Program Manager (lets you uninstall programs)
- Full Registry Backup Utility (makes backups of the registry and lets you restore them)
As far as usefulness goes, we thought that the browser helper manager was neat, but the other utilities are nothing special and are already available in Windows in some way shape or form.
Errors Found/Removed:
The scan itself took longer than the more top of the line programs, but found and removed just as many errors. Reported more errors than the leading repair utilities, leading us to believe that it is a bit overzealous and thus runs the risk of removing important entries.
Ease Of Use:
Registry Fix is simple and easy to understand. Nothing complicated about its design or presentation. Makes backing up and restoring the registry a cinch.
Features:
Very basic on the features. Nothing unique except for the browser helper manager, which will really help out certain users who are having toolbar issues or slow internet and browsing speeds.
Customer Service:
Registry Fix offers an email help desk type customer service system for its paying customers. Online help manuals were a bit spotty but adequate.
Overall Score:
Registry Fix does the basics of registry cleaning, but we think you would be better served with Registry Easy, which offers better support and comes from a company with a stronger background.
If you are happy with this software features then Download Registry Fix and fix your computer problems.
